Results of a hypnotized session can be used in introductions in court, but it is not accepted as a form of evidence. This is because many are of the opinion that patients in a hypnotized state tend to merge actual recounts of events with suppressed fantasies . Also of danger to the recount of a patient, is the tendency of the session to be affected by suppressed emotional fears and depression.
